Policy regarding submission of Breed Council Ballot Questions

- Deadline for receipt of Breed Council Ballot questions is a firm September 1 and August 1 to Breed Council Secretary

- Ballots are normally mailed from Central Office during last two weeks of November

- Questions involving a proposed change to descriptive wording within a standard should include the current wording and the proposed change with change clearly indicated (i.e. underlined and/or bold type).

- The same applies to an addition in descriptive wording. List section being addressed and underline and/or bold addition

- Be sure of your facts - for example, a question on one ballot stated the Board had rejected the question the previous year when in fact the Breed Council had voted the question down.

- There is no way to have a breed council question automatically accepted by your breed council because another breed council has accepted it. The CFA Constitution prohibits this procedure.

- No reference to color description or any part of another standard, which requires a vote on material not listed in your questionniare, can be used.  YOu must list the exact wording for any item on your ballot.
