Egyptian Mau Breed Council Meeting June 25, 2010 6PM Minutes In attendance: Jill Archibald Carol Babel Karen Bishop Constance Carroll Laurie Coughlan Mark Humpage Jim Folts Sharon Folts Dee Keenan Melanie Morgan* Bob Weller Congratulations to this year's winners - two DM's, one National Winner, six Regional Winners, twenty eight grands. Six firsts for either Breeders or Owners. Judge's Workshop Recap Last Presentation 1998 Over all feedback positive Did not reiterate standard – addressed identified areas of concern Head structure Pattern Coat Contrast Most questions involved questions regarding pattern. Surprisingly, profile was not a major sticking point Many thanks to the breeders who brought cats - Three silvers, two bronze and one smoke were available for discussion and viewing after the presentation. Bronzes elicited much interest and it was a pleasure to have two exceptional examples to exhibit Will attempt to post the presentation on either the GEMS/or Bcwebsite Side discussion urging breeders to contribute samples via cheek swabs to Marilyn Raymond NCI for help on her search for Inhibitor gene. She is specifically looking for bronze and cats that are confirmed double inhibited, although is interested in all silvers/smokes Meet The Breeds Coordinator: Susan Melia Travel will not be reimbursed this year at all Sharlene and Renee already volunteered, Bob and Carol volunteered at meeting Have a bronze from NYC who may be able to attend Would like all three colors if possible Hope to streamline the design for this year More details will be forthcoming from BC meeting with Board |

Many thanks to GEMS for sponsoring the 2010 Judge’s workshop and thanks to both the International Egyptian Mau Society and the Egyptian Mau Breeders and Fanciers Club for their generous help as well. It was great to have all three clubs contribute to this very special function for our breed.
Note – Rather than posting on the websites, it looks like we will be investigating selling copies of the presentation on either CD or hard copy with proceeds going back to GEMS who carried a heavy load of the presentation costs. Those costs were almost $1500.00. Cost of printing hard Copy is $30 and we ran out of them at the workshop. CD’s will be $10.00
